Dr. Alimoradi was the Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, and the Director for Innovation and commercialization of Technology at Isfahan University of Technology, He was also the Secretary General of the National Sheikh Baha’i Technopreneurship Festival for eight consecutive years, the Secretary General of Isfahan’s Provincial Student Business Plan festival for 6 consecutive years, and the Director of the Information Communication Incubation Center at ISTT from 2002 to 2005.

He was a Bachelor graduate of the Department of Statistics of Iran’s Shiraz University in 1985, a Master Graduate of the Department of Statistics of Iran’s Shiraz University in 1988, and a PhD Graduate of the Department of Statistics of Canada’s Carleton University in 1995. He later became a fellow at Isfahan University of Technology.

His dedication to the improvement of the entrepreneurial environment within Iran made him a well known face amongst governmental officials and the private sector alike, and also awarded him with numerous awards in recognition of his remarkable standing in the profession.

Dr. Alimoradi was born in Fasa, Shraz in 1960 where he grew up and studied. In 1990 he moved with his family to Ottawa, Canada to attain his Phd Degree in Statistics. He later moved back to Iran and in particular to Isfahan, where he lived, taught and applied himself to the mentorship of entrepreneurism for the remainder of his days.

Dr. Alimoradi was a great teacher, mentor and friend.  He will be missed.
